Privacy policy
Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
This policy explains what information buildyouradvent.com ("we") collects and how we use it.
What we collect
- Information you send us. If you join the waitlist or use the contact form, we receive what you type: your email address and, optionally, your first name, size and theme choices, personalization text, and any photo you upload. Our host, Netlify, processes and stores form submissions for us.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host may log basic request data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and reliability.
- Affiliate links. When you click a link to a retailer, that retailer (and affiliate networks such as Amazon Associates) may set cookies to credit us for the sale. Their own privacy policies apply on their sites.
How we use it
- To answer your message.
- To email you about the build-your-own kit if you joined the waitlist. Every email has an unsubscribe option.
- To design your box if you uploaded a photo or personalization. We don't use your photo for anything else.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it except with service providers who help run the site (such as our host and email provider) or when the law requires it.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@buildyouradvent.com. California and other state residents may have additional rights under their state's privacy laws, and we honor them.
Children
This site is meant for adults shopping for gifts. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top.
